Tulsi is completely underqualified for Congress. She would be replacing is Mazie Hirono. Mazie earned her law degree from Georgetown University, served as a Deputy Attorney General before entering private practice, served for years in the State House of Representatives and was elected and served two four-year terms as Hawaii's Lieutenant Governor. Colleen Hanabusa, our other Congresswoman, earned her law degree at Richardson School of Law, was in private practice as an employment attorney, served 10 years in the Senate and was the first Asian American to served as Senate President.

Tulsi was elected to the State House in 2002; did not finish her two-year term before she joined the National Guard and was deployed to the Middle East. She was just elected to City Council in 2010, and has not finished one year before running for Congress. Tulsi is like Sarah Palin - beautiful, charismatic, ambitious, and has no qualms about failing to finish her term in office.

It is going to be very interesting to learn Ms. Gabbard's position on equal rights for LGBT people and the issue of choice and the right to choose a safe, legal abortion.

[...] A State Senator in Wisconsin, Julie Lassa secured the Democratic nomination in her quest to represent Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District. A dynamic state legislator, Julie was highly recruited by national Democrats to seek the nomination in wake of Representative Obey’s retirement. In the State Senate, Julie chairs the Committee on Economic Development and serves on the Committee on Children and Families and Workforce Development, Committee on Health, Health Insurance, Privacy, Property Tax Relief and Revenue, and the Joint Committee on Finance. One of her most significant legislative accomplishments was sponsoring and ushering through the Wisconsin C.O.R.E. Jobs Act – an omnibus job creation package that was signed into law to help put Wisconsin back on the road to economic recovery. “Once again we are seeing the pipeline at work. As a successful state legislator, in both in the Assembly and Senate, Julie has proven she is savvy, hardworking, and a dynamic leader. Cutting her teeth in state politics has prepared her for the next level – the U.S. House of Representatives,” WUFPAC President Katie Vlietstra said. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Julie be one of WUFPAC’s 2010 candidates.” Please support Julie’s general election race, by visiting her website and providing direct financial support to her endeavor. Julie becomes the 5th WUFPAC federal candidate to advance to the November general election. To learn more about all of our 2010 endorsed candidates, please visit our website, here.
