Princella Smith, 26, Receives WUFPAC Endorsement for Arkansas’s 1st Congressional District
Princella was raised in Wynne, Arkansas, by her father John Smith, a former school board vice president and the minister at Christian Fellowship Church, and her mother Sandra Smith, the vice principal at Wynne High School.
In 2004, Princella burst onto the national scene at the Republican National Convention when she addressed the convention after winning MTV’s “Stand Up and Holla” essay/speech contest.
Professionally, Princella has served as a Communications Director on Capitol Hill, an E-Campaign manager, and National Spokesperson for American Solutions, an organization founded by former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
Leveraging her experience on Capitol Hill with her substantial knowledge of her home district, Princella would be an extremely successful advocate for Arkansas’s 1st congressional district and work to tackle the complexities and challenges facing her state and the country: job creation/economy, education, and health care.
“When Princella wins in November, it will be historic. She will be the first African-American elected from Arkansas, the first African-American, Republican woman elected to Congress, and the youngest woman ever elected to the U.S. House of Representatives,” stated WUFPAC President, Katie Vlietstra. “Princella is a member of a new generation of women who are not standing on the sidelines but jumping feet first into the political process. Her election will inspire many young women leaders to follow in her footsteps. We are thrilled to support Princella Smith.”
