WUFPAC Endorses Jaime Herrera for Washington’s 3rd Congressional District
Raised in Southwest Washington, Jaime is committed to ensuring her community rebounds successfully from the economic hardships that have significantly impacted Washington state. An experienced state legislator, Jaime has cultivated a reputation as a bi-partisan, hardworking, dedicated advocate for the people of her district and has been successful in passing legislation that supports lower taxes, affordable health care, and small business-friendly legislation.
Jaime she began her working for the Washington State Senate, and then at the White House. She then spent two years as a Senior Legislative Aide to WUFPAC alumna, Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers. Jaime returned to Washington and was appointed to a vacant seat in the Washington Legislature by both Republican and Democrat party leaders. In 2009, she won the seat with 60% of the vote, solidifying her reputation as a true advocate for her community.
Jaime is a force of nature. She has out raised all of her, male, primary challengers, implemented a grass roots strategy for connecting with voters, and continues to push her message of experience, commitment, and passion.
“WUFPAC couldn’t be more pleased to offer its support to Jaime, it is especially poignant being that she is a former staffer to WUFPAC alumna, Congresswoman Cathy McMorris-Rodgers,” stated WUFPAC President, Katie Vlietstra. “Jaime’s commitment to Washington State is apparent when you speak to her, she wants the best for her state and she is committed to doing what it takes to ensure prosperity, security, and an educated workforce help move Washington out of these hard times.”
